Pianist Anastasia Yasko received her first musical education at the renowned Gnessin Music School in Moscow in the class of Prof. Tatiana Shklovskaya. In 2014, she graduated with distinction from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, where she studied under Prof. Vera Gornostaeva. From 2014 to 2017, she continued her soloist training at the Mozarteum University Salzburg with Prof. Rolf Plagge, completing her Master\u2019s degree there with highest honors. She subsequently pursued postgraduate studies with Prof. Jacques Rouvier. After completing her doctoral studies at the Mozarteum University Salzburg, she was awarded the academic degree Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in 2020. Since 2018, Anastasia Yasko has been working as a lecturer in piano performance at the Mozarteum University Salzburg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a soloist, the pianist has performed in Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, France, Luxembourg, Portugal, and Japan. She has appeared in venues including the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, the Great Hall of the Warsaw National Philharmonic, and the Great Hall of the Mozarteum Foundation Salzburg. Her concert engagements have included performances with the State Moscow Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Kharkiv Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra. In August 2019, Anastasia Yasko performed at the Salzburg Festival as a prizewinner of the Mozarteum Summer Academy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her discography includes the debut album 20th Century Russian Piano Sonatas released in 2021 on the ARS Produktion label, which was nominated in two categories for the Opus Klassik Award, as well as Chopin Piano Works (2023, ARS Produktion), also nominated twice. In January 2025, her third CD album, 20th Century Russian Piano Sonatas Vol. 2, was released and likewise received an Opus Klassik nomination.\nAlongside her concert career, Anastasia Yasko is deeply engaged in the artistic and scholarly exploration of 20th-century piano music. This work culminated in the monograph The Piano Sonata in Russia in the Second Half of the 20th Century (Waxmann Verlag, 2024).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anastasia is a Laureate of the 1. Prize at the \u201c6th International Nikolai Igumnov Competition for young pianists\u201d (Lipetsk, 2005), the 3. Prize at the \u201c9th International Vladimir Krainev competition\u201d (Kharkov, 2008) and the 1. Prize at the \u201cRomantic Music Festival dedicated to Chopin\u201d (Moscow, 2008). Anastasia was awarded with the Special Prize of the Moscow Culture Committee (2008) and \u201cGuzik Foundation Prize\u201d (San Francisco, USA, 2009). Anastasia Yasko also won the 3. Prize at the \u201cInternational Flame Competition\u201d (Paris, 2012), the 1. Prize at the \u201cEnnio Porrino International Piano Competition\u201d (Cagliari, 2013) and the 4. Prize at International Piano Competition \u201cMauro Paulo Monopoli Prize\u201d (Barletta, 2016). In 2018, she won the 3. Prize and two Special Prizes at the \u201eMarbella International Piano Competition\u201c. 2023 Anastasia has got the 1st Prize and two special Awards for the best Interpretation of Chopin's and Bach's music at \u201eCarles & Sophia International Piano Competition\u201c in Spain.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
